About Toni

Toni has over 20 years of experience in the fitness, health and wellness industry. She began her journey in humanities training at Ryerson University, in the Bachelor of Social Work program. Along the way, she discovered a deep passion and commitment for helping others achieve optimal lifelong fitness, health and wellness. Her extensive training and education led her to the deeply healing path of yoga in 1995. She has continued on this journey, obtaining Certifications as a Yoga Therapist (with the International Alliance of Yoga Therapists), A Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500, and YACEP, as well as becoming a Thai Yoga Massage Practitioner. She has trained in various forms of yoga including Hatha, Restorative, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Anusara and Kundalini as well as holding additional certifications Personal Trainer, Stott Pilates Pilates Instructor, TRX and Schwinn Cycling.
Toni believes that Yoga and movement practice is a lifelong journey, with endless paths to explore, inspire and support continued personal growth. She honours this with ongoing study, continually fine tuning both her own practice and her teaching by studying with master Yoga and movement instructors throughout North America and Europe. Her teaching style is built on a strong foundation and understanding of anatomy and a deep respect for the wonder of the human body. Toni knows that everyone’s practice can shift with the tide of life. Her goal is to ensure that all her clients move and grow with attention to and acceptance of the messages from their own body and breath. She believes that compassion for personal movement and breath practices are the seat of intention for our approach to life.
Toni delivers educational sessions on Therapeutic Yoga Practices for Chronic Pain, Anxiety, Stress and Depression, Movement and wellness for Older Adults and Movement Practices for the Corporate Employee. She lives a balanced life with health and wellness at the centre of her home. In her down time she can be found reading, exploring, pursuing a daily yoga, movement and strength practice and, most cherished of all, walking with her beloved dog Bella.
